Organisation
Transition Penwith is in the early start-up phase. It has a small but focused Strategic Team, whose primary aim is to provide advice on funding and partnership working. As the Transition Penwith Groups begin to emerge around specific interest areas (Food & Agriculture, Health & Medicine, Education, Energy, etc) then one person will come forward from each Group to sit on the Working Team. The Strategic and Working Teams will work in partnership, and may eventually be replaced by a new structure.
To be effective, Transition Penwith needs senior representation from within the public, private and community sectors, with expertise across the Group areas. It also needs the involvement of the residents of Penwith. We are currently registered as a Charitable Trust, and are taking advice on effective organisational structures for the future.
